How Skilled works?
Skilled is a platform that connects clients and professionals to work remotely. Projects in Skilled can be paid for a fixed value or per hour of work.
In hourly projects, both the client and the professional have access to the Project Tasks Journal. There the professional records the hours worked. After that registration, the client must approve or reject said hours. If they are approved, the payment of the same is released to the professional automatically. If, on the other hand, they are rejected, they are not paid.
In case the hours are approved, the professional receives the payment automatically, therefore, a refund is no longer possible, even if the project is closed between them.
If, on the other hand, the hours were rejected, and both parties could not reach an agreement, Skilled may intervene and carry out arbitration. In this case, the cancellation policies are the same as for fixed value projects (see fixed value project cancellation policy).
If Skilled concludes that the client is correct, the rejected hours will not be credited. In case of concluding that the professional is in the right, the payment that solves the hours worked will be debited.
Skilled works to make fair decisions and to ensure that agreements between professionals and clients are respected. That is why it is important to always make clear everything agreed between both parties within each project.
