Terms and Conditions for the Motion Graphics Intro Video Contest

1. Eligibility

1.1 The contest is open to registered freelancers on the Skillled platform.
1.2 Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
1.3 Employees of Skillled, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2. Entry Requirements

2.1 Participants must create an original 10-15 second motion graphics video as described in the contest brief.
2.2 Submissions must be original work and not contain copyrighted material (e.g., music, visuals, or animations) unless appropriately licensed.
2.3 Videos must align with Skillled’s branding and values.
2.4 Each participant can submit only one entry.

3. Submission Guidelines

3.1 Entries must be submitted via the Skillled contest portal by the specified deadline.
3.2 Format:

• Video file in MP4 or MOV format.
• Aspect ratio: 16:9.
• Resolution: Minimum 1080p.
  3.3 A description (100–150 words) explaining the creative choices and tools used must accompany the submission.
  3.4 Late submissions will not be accepted.

4. Judging Criteria

4.1 Submissions will be judged by a panel of Skillled-selected experts.
4.2 Criteria include:

• Creativity: Unique and innovative motion graphics.
• Brand Alignment: How well the video represents Skillled’s identity.
• Clarity and Messaging: Effectiveness in delivering the key message.
• Technical Quality: Smoothness of animation and audio integration.
• Visual Appeal: Overall impression and engagement.
  4.3 The judges' decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

5. Prizes

5.1 Grand Prize Winner:

• $200 cash reward.
• 12-month free premium Skillled membership.
• The winning video will be featured on Skillled’s official channels, including the website and social media.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 By submitting an entry, participants grant Skillled a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and publish the submitted video for promotional and marketing purposes.
6.2 Participants retain ownership of their submissions and may include them in personal portfolios after the contest concludes.
6.3 Entries found to violate intellectual property rights will be disqualified.

7. Timelines

7.1 Submission Deadline: 28th February 2025
7.2 Winner Announcement Date: 5th March 2025

8. Disqualification

8.1 Entries containing plagiarized content, offensive material, or submissions not meeting the brief will be disqualified.
8.2 Skillled reserves the right to remove entries that violate the platform’s community standards.

9. Liability

9.1 Skillled is not responsible for technical issues, including incomplete uploads or submissions.
9.2 Skillled reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest at its sole discretion if unforeseen circumstances arise.

10. Data Protection

10.1 By entering the contest, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data solely for contest purposes, in accordance with Skillled’s privacy policy.

11. Governing Law
