Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

1.1 The competition is open to registered freelancers on the Skillled platform.
1.2 Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
1.3 Employees of Skillled, its affiliates, or immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2. Entry Requirements

2.1 Participants must create a 5-slide PowerPoint presentation for the fictional company "AquaSmart," adhering to the project requirements outlined on the competition page.
2.2 Entries must be original and not published elsewhere, in whole or part.
2.3 The presentation must be in English and adhere to professional design standards.
2.4 Entries must be submitted by the stated deadline through the competition submission form on the Skillled website.

3. Judging Criteria

3.1 Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges selected by Skillled.
3.2 Judging criteria include:

• Clarity: Is the problem and solution clearly articulated?
• Visual Appeal: Are the slides visually attractive and professionally designed?
• Impact: Does the presentation effectively communicate AquaSmart's market potential?
• Creativity: Are the visuals and storytelling compelling and engaging?
  3.3 The judges’ decision is final and not subject to appeal.

4. Prizes

4.1 The winner will receive:

• A cash prize of $200.
• A free 12-month subscription to Skillled's premium freelancer membership.
  4.2 The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives, except for the $200 cash component.
  4.3 Skillled reserves the right to feature the winning presentation on its website, social media platforms, and promotional materials with full credit to the author.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 By entering the competition, participants agree that Skillled retains the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, and publish all submitted content for marketing and promotional purposes.
5.2 The participant retains authorship and may use the submission in their portfolio after the competition results are announced.

6. Submission Rules

6.1 Submissions containing plagiarized content, offensive material, or that fail to meet the brief will be disqualified.
6.2 Only one submission per freelancer is allowed.

7. Timelines

7.1 The competition opens on [Start Date] and closes at 11:59 PM 31st January 2025 (GMT).
7.2 The winner will be announced on 6th February 2025

8. Liability

8.1 Skillled is not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or errors in submission.
8.2 Skillled reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at its discretion.

9. Data Protection

9.1 By entering, participants consent to the collection and processing of their personal data solely for the purposes of this competition in accordance with Skillled’s privacy policy.

10. Governing Law

10.1 This competition is governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction, e.g., England and Wales].
10.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in [Jurisdiction].
